Research Activities

The research focus of the real-time systems group is on distributed, fault-tolerant hard real-time systems. The real-time systems group successfully participated in numerous EC funded research projects in the Fourth and Fifth Framework Programme and is currently contributing to EC funded research projects in the Sixth Framework Programme and the Austrian research programme FIT-IT.

Teaching

Our group organizes an undergraduate course on operating systems and the corresponding systems programming lab, and there is an advanced course on real-time systems. The members of our group are also advisers for "Praktika" and Master's Theses, where the students work together with the staff on a lot of interesting topics related to the practical implementation of real-time systems.
