Michael Paulitsch has left the Vienna University of Technology in June 2003.

Michael Paulitsch has been a research assistant at the Institut für Technische Informatik, Real-Time Systems Group at the Technische Universität Wien from February 1999 to June 2003. He has studied Computer Science at the Technische Universität Wien and received his diploma degree (Diplom-Ingenieur) in 1999. During his course of study Michael Paulitsch visited the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for one year as graduate and exchange student in Computer Science. At UIUC he worked with Prof. Ravi K. Iyer as a research assistant at the Center for Reliable and High-Performance Computing. Furthermore, Michael Paulitsch has been studying Management Information Systems at the Universität Wien, the Technische Universität Wien, and the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. In 1999, he received his second diploma degree (Magister rerum socialum oeconomicarumque) from the Technische Universität Wien. In October 2002, Michael Paulitsch has finished his doctoral studies in Computer Science (Dr.techn.) with Prof. Hermann Kopetz at the Technische Universität Wien as research advisor.
In July 2003, Michael Paulitsch has finished his doctoral degree in social and economic sciences (Doktorat der Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften; Dr.rer.soc.oec.) at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien with Prof. Werner Jammernegg as advisor.
As of August 2003, Michael Paulitsch is with Honeywell AES Centers of Excellence (formerly Honeywell Labs) in Minneapolis, MN, USA.

Research

Michael Paulitsch has been involved in the development of a real-time communication protocol called TTP (Time-Triggered Protocol). His research work at the TU Vienna has focused on the multi-cluster clock synchronization for time-triggered protocols, which has been the subject of his doctoral thesis as well. He has also participated in the research projects DSoS and PAMELA.
