2009 : Online Diagnosis System based on the Time-Triggered System-on-Chip Architecture

Abstract
This work is based on the Time-Triggered System-On-Chip Architecture and describes a method of real-time diagnosis. The discussed diagnosis system is able to detect hardware faults, classifies them and further pinpoints the faulty component (any of the hosts or the TSS). This is accomplished by securing the value domain of all data channels with an end-to-end checksum. At every message interface between two components the data channels are checked and the results are reported to the System Health Service. Based on this input the service is able to determine the component where the hardware fault occurred. Additionally, the service considers information about watchdog misses and message queue overflows provided by the TTSoC. Depending on this input, the criticality of this component and its provided services a health state for the component is computed and disseminated to all other components.
