2011 : Local Interconnect Network Treiberimplementierung für Embedded System Engineering

Author(s)
Stefan Mdlhammer
Abstract
This bachelor thesis is about the Local Interconnect Network, a one wire bus protocol developed for the automotive sector. It contains a brief but detailed enough introduction to the official LIN specification revision 2.1, published by the LIN consortium, to assure the reader is capable of understanding the following description of the software LIN driver implemenation for the ATMega 128 micro controller, the main part of this thesis. The implementation was designed for the Embedded System Engineering course held on the Vienna University of Technology, providing a starting point for students, allowing them to create distributed cluster applications based on this driver implementation or further driver extensions. For this purpose an extended configuration documentation is given at the end of the thesis.
